And if we have to add “breakfast” to that, mornings just turn into a very unpleasant thing. Luckily, there are some easy and delicious breakfast recipes that will make even the grumpiest of kids wake up with a smile on his face.

Bacon, egg and cheese waffle sandwich

A delicious breakfast that is healthy, easy, quick and you can make the night before. Breakfast bananas have it all. Peel the bananas, cut them in half and insert a popsicle stick in each half. Pour the granola in a shallow dish and throw in the mini chocolate chips. Mix well to ensure a consistent ratio of granola to chocolate. Now dip the banana pops in yogurt (or use a knife to spread it on) and then roll them in the granola and chocolate chips. Place on a baking sheet with some parchment paper and freeze. The next morning, take out the banana pops and enjoy with your kids. You can even make a big batch of these ahead of time and keep them in the freezer, so you have emergency healthy breakfast during the week.

Omelette and potato breakfast cups

Another breakfast recipe you can make in the oven while you wake up the kids. You will need tater tots, a muffin tray and your favorite ingredients to make omelettes. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and place two or three tater tots on each cup of a greased muffin tray. Bake for ten minutes while you whisk together eight eggs and 1/4 cup of milk. Take the tots out and lower the temperature to 350 degrees. Sprinkle your favorite omelette toppings (sausage, onion, pepper, mushrooms, etc.) in each cup and fill them up with the egg mix. Add some shredded cheddar to each cup and stick the tray in the oven to bake for 20 minutes.
